The Oberoi New Delhi

We liked everything there at Oberoi. No wonder Oberoi sets the standard high. The moment we entered, the welcoming with garlands, customised sweets, welcoming toy, cookie baking session, mocktail session you name it,breakfast and dinner at 360, staff service, the leadership, what else, all of them worked like a machine with enthusiasm and energy to keep the service level high. I know it takes a whole village to keep a hotel like Oberoi with a consistent service level, but I have to name a few whom we interacted the most. First to start with is Aditi, the leader at the front desk, I would say, she pulled off all those sessions to keep my kid active inside the hotel itself and that too in between the busy schedule of Diwali. Thank you Aditi. Our daughter will always cherish those sessions. Gave us parents also our "We time". Next is Jinesh from reception, who arranged our early morning departure to hotel and made sure everything is fine. Sumant from 360 along with his colleagues were just amazing to keep our energy high towards the end of the day during dinner time, and ofcourse with a welcoming smile during breakfast. Thank you Won at the bar for the mocktail session and Muskan at the bakery for the baking session. Our daughter will cherish these memories. Few more names, Nishant, Nokpon, Shangley, thank you all. The house keeping team, I do not know your names, but hats off and thanks, the moment we stepped out of room, i could see the team cleaning and making the room as if fresh. Thank you. The room was furnished to a high standard, quiet and comfortable. Check in was directly in the room and welcoming, smooth and efficient. Tea and coffee were brought promptly to the room. Dinner was superb and the chef immediately embraced our feedback when we informed him we prefer less salt. All in all another great experience. Appreciated the pick up from the airport after a long flight. When our train to Kalka was cancelled at the last moment the concierge made all the arrangements over night to make sure we had a car and driver on hand to drive from New Delhi to Shimla so we could get a good night’s rest and not worry about anything. Takeaway breakfast boxes were excellent.

Everything at The Oberoi was fantastic and exceeded our expectations. We asked for rooms close by as we were travelling with children which the hotel provided with an interconnecting door also. Breakfast was fantastic. Staff in all areas of the hotel were wonderful and went out of their way to help. Our children were especially well looked after.

My initial visit to Oberoi New Delhi was truly exceptional. As a first timer they upgraded my room and accomodation was superb. Each and every staff person was professional and made the guest feel valued and welcome. The spa facilities sauna & steam rooms and inside and outside pools and gym were delightful. The 360 restaurant for breakfast buffet was also amazing. We also enjoyed a first class room service experience for late evening dining. I realise I am using so many superlative adjectives, but they are well deserved. Oberoi New Delhi sets the standard for 5* property and service.

As it had been my birthday a few days before arriving at the Oberoi, the staff not only left a cake and surprise but also upgraded the room and paid additional attention to little details. What made the stay even better was Sumeet (from 360 Degrees Restaurant), who was super attentive and went above and beyond to ensure all the guests (not only us) were looked after. Also, Eshan, the head sous chef, was eager to please his guests with special meals.
